VOLUNTEER VACANCY: Chairperson for Wilton Community Centre

Wilton Community Centre needs a new Volunteer Chairperson!  Are you community‑minded, organised, and enjoy bringing people together? We’re looking for a friendly and committed volunteer to join our Trustee team as Chairperson.

This rewarding role helps guide the running of our busy, much‑loved Community Centre — home to over 30 local groups, activities, and events.

What the role involves:

  • Leading our monthly Trustee meetings Preparing agendas, minutes, and annual reports
  • Overseeing policies, contracts, and key governance tasks
  • Helping with occasional enquiries and supporting day‑to‑day Centre operations
  • Optional friendly visits to user groups
  • Carrying out monthly Fire, Health & Safety checks

You don’t need previous experience — just good communication skills, a bit of organisation, and a genuine desire to support your local community. Training and support will be provided, and you’ll be joining a warm, enthusiastic team.

VOLUNTEER VACANCY: Vice Chairperson for Wilton Community Centre

Wilton Community Centre needs a new Vice Chair!  Are you passionate about community, organisation, and helping local groups thrive? We’re looking for a voluntary Vice Chairperson to join our friendly team and support the running of Wilton Community Centre.

As Vice Chair, you’ll play a key role in:  

  • Supporting and deputising for the Chair
  • Working closely with our Trustees and helping welcome new ones
  • Keeping our charity compliant and well‑organised
  • Being a point of contact for local councils and community partners
  • Helping maintain policies, governance documents and noticeboards
  • Getting involved in grant applications when needed

This is a brilliant opportunity to make a real difference in your community, support a much‑loved local charity, and help shape the future of the Centre.
