Wilton Community Centre is to remain closed until the New Year
When Lockdown2 finished on 2nd December, Wilton was put into Tier 2, with the majority of the Country. Although the Government regulations permitted us to open for some classes, the overall message that “you must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting whether at home or in a public place” caused us great concern.
After much deliberation, the Trustees decided that with the Christmas season upon us, the way the Centre works and the Users concerned, that it would be impossible to stop people from mixing thus not providing a safe environment. Reluctantly, The Trustees took the sad decision that to keep everyone safe, the Centre should remain closed until the New Year, when the tiers may be reviewed. The Trustees apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused but the welfare of all our Users is a priority.
May we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a safer New Year
Charlotte Blackman. Chair of Trustees. 3rd December 2020

As from Thursday 5th November, (remember that one) Wilton Community Centre will be closed as per the Government Directive to stem the rise of Covid 19, for at least 1 month, to early December – or when we are told we can safely reopen again.
