Centre reopens but with restrictions

UPDATE: 12 April 2021

As per HMG Guidelines, Wilton Community Centre is open again for business but with Covid19  restrictions, as before. This means basically that all social distancing, face masks, hand cleansing, one way systems, limits for toilets and refreshments  and the Rule of 6 must be obeyed. These continuous rules have prevented most groups from attending until later in the year and Dawn Humphries, our excellent Booking Secretary, has been in contact with all our regular user groups for updates and invitations to return.

If you are a new group and would like to hire Wilton Community Centre, please contact Dawn Humphries 01722 744859 (9am – 5.00pm) or by email dawnlouise82@gmail.com

Update 3rd March 2021
Well we had the announcement from Downing Street that we may get back to normal in June with three “Steps” inbetween and four major conditions. The Government Roadmap mentioned community centres may re-open on 12th April, but this will only apply to certain cases, staffed premises, educational and medical needs which unfortunately do not include Wilton Community Centre. The rules that households cannot mix will still be in force, which precludes most of our activities. Therefor the Trustees are awaiting more advice from ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) and Community First for a suitable and safe date to reopen.
Press releases will be issued and all our regular users notified in good time when we have a date.

Of course you all know we are not allowed to open as yet 15th Feb 2021 but we are all awaiting an announcement from Boris and as soon as we are allowed to open we will meet and discuss everything  and give you all an opening date as soon as we possible can.

Keep safe and well.

The Trustees
